Robert H. Berger, CPA

Bob Berger, CPA

Robert H. Berger earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1980 from the University of Oregon. He earned his CPA license in March of 1983.

He started his accounting career in 1980 with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. as an in-charge accountant. In 1984, he became a manager at Darst, Hamilton & Associates. In 1987, Bob partnered with A.J. Freed to become Freed & Berger, CPAs, LLC. This partnership lasted for ten years. On July 1, 1997 Bob and Dennis L. O’Toole founded Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC. This partnership has seen the firm grow and move to its current location. On January 1, 2019 Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC merged with Boyle, Hess and Elliott, CPAs to form Berger, Elliott & Pritchard, CPAs, LLC.

Bob focuses on tax planning and wealth management for both individuals and businesses.

Robert is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, he is involved in the Omaha Executive Association, Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Omaha Public Library Foundation and Omaha Morning Rotary. Bob and his family also have a long and storied history with AK-SAR-BEN.


John S. Elliott, CPA, CVA

John Elliott, CPA

John S. Elliott earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Creighton University in 1969.

John earned his CPA in 1981 and has spent his career in both the private and public sectors. John joined Boyle, Hess & Elliott, CPAs in 1985. He became a partner in 1989 and president in 1993. On January 1, 2019 Boyle, Hess and Elliott, CPAs merged with Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC to form Berger, Elliott & Pritchard, CPAs, LLC.

John works closely with business owners and individuals providing them with accounting, tax and business consulting services, business valuations and negotiations, and due diligence. With his insurance expertise, he is also able to provide a wide range of risk management services.

John is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Locally, John supports both the academic and athletic programs at Creighton University.


Joseph Pritchard, CPA

Joe Pritchard, CPA

Joseph J. Pritchard earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Nebraska Wesleyan University 2012. He earned his CPA license in 2014.

Joe started with Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC in 2012. In 2015, he moved back to his hometown of Spalding, Nebraska and opened a new branch of the firm there. On January 1, 2019; Joe became a partner in the newly formed Berger, Elliott & Pritchard, CPAs, LLC.

Joe’s area of emphasis is in agricultural business and taxes. He is a leader in the preparation of profit-sharing audits and provides preparation of business and individual income tax returns.

Joe is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, Joe is the treasurer of the Cottonwood Greens Golf Course and is a member of the Greeley County Fair Board.


Dennis L. O’Toole, CPA

Dennis O'Toole, CPA

Dennis L. O’Toole earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1974. He earned his CPA license in 1977.

He started his career in 1974, as a junior accountant form Marvin W. Maydew. In 1976, he moved to Jonaitis and Horwich, CPAs. He became a senior accountant/manager in 1981 for George J. Jonaitis, PC. In 1995, he joined with George J. Jonaitis to form Jonaitis and O’Toole, PC. Then in 1997, he and Robert H. Berger founded Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC. On January 1, 2019 Boyle, Hess and Elliott, CPAs merged with Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC  to form Berger, Elliott & Pritchard, CPAs, LLC.

Dennis is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Dennis enjoys working with family owned businesses with tax planning and succession plans. He also manages a majority of the audits, reviews and compilations the firms prepares.

In the community, he is on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit, Heart of a Child Ministries. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of VSS Catholic Communications, Inc. which oversees Spirit Catholic Radio. He is also the current Financial Secretary of the Holy Family Knights of Columbus. Dennis has also been a member as well as the chairperson of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church Pastoral Council. He has previously served as the Treasurer of the St. Albert Education Foundation and has been a member of the school’s finance committee.


Thomas W. Hosier, CPA, PFS

Thomas Hosier, CPA

Thomas W. Hosier earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Creighton University in 1977. He received his CPA license in March of 1983.

Tom had more than 20 years of accounting and tax experience with the Internal Revenue Service and two local and national accounting firms prior to joining Boyle, Hess and Elliott, CPAs in 2003 as a senior tax manager. On January 1, 2019 Boyle, Hess and Elliott, CPAs merged with Berger and O’Toole, CPAs, LLC to form Berger, Elliott & Pritchard, CPAs, LLC.

Tom focuses on tax planning and wealth management for both individual and business clients. Planning areas include tax return preparation and individual financial planning in areas of retirement, social security strategies, funding for college costs, goal development and estate and gift taxes. Business planning areas include general accounting, cash and fixed asset management.

Tom is one of a select group of CPA’s who have earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This certification is only awarded to CPA's who have additional comprehensive financial planning experience and training. Additionally, he is licensed in Life and Health Insurance with the State of Nebraska.

In 2015, Tom received his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, CAP® designation. Earning the CAP® designation required taking three graduate level courses in philanthropy covering the various impacts of planning for family wealth, charitable giving strategies, and gift planning in a non-profit context.

Tom is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, he is a past President and current treasurer for the Masonic Youth Foundation of Nebraska. He has also previously served on the boards of the Girl Scouts Great Plains Council and Ballet Omaha.


Elizabeth D. Tritsch, CPA, MBA

Liz Tritsch, CPA

Elizabeth D. Tritsch earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double major in Economics and Finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1985. She then received her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska in 1988. Liz earned her CPA license in 1998.

In 1995, Liz moved from private industry, where she worked as a corporate cash manager, to public accounting when she joined Boyle, Hess and Elliott CPA’s L.L.C. She, along with everyone at BHE, joined the employees of Berger & O’Toole CPA’s to become the new firm of Berger, Elliott & Pritchard CPA’s L.L.C.

Liz specializes in tax accounting and works with individuals, trusts, partnerships, and all small businesses. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska Society of CPAs.
